Thunder Mt. Revisited

I met up w/ my friend Jeff who was in town early Sunday morning and we headed up for the good 'ol Tunnel Creek trailhead.  The conditions were quite a bit cooler than before, with an added bonus...NO BUGS!!!   As a sidenote, the berries out there were incredible as soon as we hit the crest trail.  Thousands of them, all plump and juicy.  Weird thing though, there were hardly any leaves on the bushes, so one could just sweep their fingers through the 'bush' and come out w/ a handful of berries for snackage.  Beautiful weather, not a cloud.  Lower angled sunlight provided depth perception for the distant ridges and peaks.  The lake was very chilly.  Neither I nor Jeff had any desire to jump in, however, as we passed over the ridge overlooking the lake, we had seen a couple just getting out from a dip.  We hit the peak, had some snacks, signed the register, and meandered around the lake.  Once again, amazed w/ NO BUGS!!  Great scenery, and bright fall colors.  See pictures.
